liquidARCHITECTURE is affiliated with both industry and community organisations. Through the relationships we hold with these organisations we both contribute to the broader Architectural community as well receive valuable suppor through education and mentor experiences.

Australian Institute of Architects
liquidARCHITECTURE is an A+ practice member of the AIA.
The Australian Institute of Architects is a national body consisting of almost 10,000 members across Australia and overseas. The Institute was formed in 1930 when state architectural Institutes combined to form a unified national associationwith the following aims:
- To advance architecture
- To maintain the integrity and standing of the profession
- To promote the profession's views nationally and internationally, and
- To encourage the study of architecture
Archicentre
Melonie and Stephen are both members of Archicentre and are qualified to provide Design and Advisory services. For the past five years, Melonie has presented public seminars on renovating and design on behalf of Archicentre. Melonie is also one of four Archicentre architects providing advisory services to Lane Cove Council for the Sustainable Building Advice Service.
Archicentre has more than 900 architects Australia-wide who are available in nearly every suburb and just about any region, to promptly perform professional services. We have offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart and branches in many regional centres.
Architects Registration Board of NSW
liquidARCHITECTURE is a practice member of the Architects Registration Board of NSW, and both Stephen and Melonie are registered, nominated architects. Melonie is also an examiner for Part 3 of the APE.
The NSW Architects Registration Board administers the Architects Act 2003, its key role being to protect consumers of architectural services by ensuring that architects provide services to the public in a professional and competent manner. The Board are also responsible for accrediting architectural qualifications for the purpose of registration, informing the public about the qualifications and competence of individuals or organisations holding themselves out as architects, and promoting a better understanding of architectural issues in the community.
Association of Consulting Architects
liquidARCHITECTURE is a practice member of the ACA.
The primary role of the ACA is to assist members to navigate their way through the employment processes including wages and awards, conditions of employment, represent them in industrial matters and maintain a concise and current information stream to members to enable the architects to be as little distracted as possible from their primary role of providing well considered designs, documents and other services to their clients.
National Association of Women in Construction
Melonie is an active member of NAWIC and from 2007-09 was a mentor and presenter for the Constructive Mentoring scheme run in association with the MBA NSW and AIA (NSW).
The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is a not-for-profit organisation formed in 1995 whose mission is to promote and improve the construction industry by the advancement of women within it, offering individual members an opportunity to expand personal and business networks, maintain awareness of industry developments, improve skills and knowledge, and make a contribution to other women in the construction industry.
Resitech
In 2009 Liquid Architecture qualified for inclusion on the RES 468 Architectural Consultancy Panel.
RESITECH is a service agency and internal service provider within Housing NSW. It has more than 50 years experience delivering projects and program management and asset related professional services within the residential housing industry.
Chatswood Chamber of Commerce
Chatswood Chamber is made up of wide cross-section of small and large companies representing all fields of professional, retail and commercial activity. We are a voluntary partnership of business and professional people working together to build a healthy and strong community. The Chamber works to provide members with ideal opportunities to meet and develop business relationships.
The Chamber is a member of the NSW Business Chamber, which in turn is a member of ACCI - The Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
University of Technology Sydney
Since 2007, Melonie has taught Construction in the B.Des. Architecture course with Dr Kirsten Orr, and has most recently taught Construction with Joanne Jakovich in the 1st year program.
Student Organised Network for Architecture
Since 2005, Stephen and Melonie have both participated in the SONA student mentoring scheme which operates under the umbrella of the AIA.
EgresStudio
In 2009, Stephen's SONA mentoring group decided to establish a studio-based practice so as to provide the business framework for a real-time building project which would be designed, detailed, developed and built by the members of egresStudio. liquidARCHITECTURE are proud to be assisting egresStudio with this ground-breaking student project.
University of Newcastle
Melonie and Stephen are both University of Newcastle Alumni and since 2000 have formally and informally mentored architecture students studying at the university.
