Michael is currently studying at UTS, and will complete the B. Design in Architecture degree in 2010. In 2008 he participated and exhibited in 'Even Better Then the Real Thing', the UTS end of year exhibition curated by Dr Sam Spurr.
Michael's present architectural interests are focused on strategies for architecture in providing solutions for global issues, ranging from emergency housing to investigations into nomadic-style housing. He is also passionate about looking at ways to reduce the impact of populations on various ecologies, and how the materials and resources in the existing built environment may best be reused.
Michael has been working with Liquid Architecture since June 2009.
Anne is in the first year of the Masters of Architecture at UNSW. In 2007 she participated in the Glenn Murcutt special studio at UNSW, and recently took part in Urban Islands 2009, creating automated textile installations which were exhibited on Cockatoo Island.
In December 2009 Anne will take part in a study tour to China focusing on photography of Chinese gardens in Shanghai and Suzhou. Anne has travelled extensively through Europe and has a particular interest in Scandinavian design and the vernacular wood architecture of Scandinavia and Switzerland, especially Swiss farm houses. She is inspired by the work of Peter Zumthor, and one of her pivotal architectural moments was a trip to his Thermal Baths in Vals, Switzerland, during the first snow of the season.
Anne has been working with Liquid Architecture since March 2007.
